T.E.J. Records very obviously really wanted to be K-Tel. Unlike K-Tel, though, they had the energy and gumption to record their own versions of songs like “50 Ways To Leave Your Lover,” “Welcome Back,” “More, More, More,” and so many other 70s classics. In choosing one song from this 1976 double album, it was a toss-up between this Paul McCartney epic-sized ditty and the theme to Laverne and Shirley. I hope I chose correctly. Here’s a T.E.J. TV commercial from 1974!
